so… what if it snows?

Student upload to OSU.edu

Yup, we have a storm a’comin and students are already pondering the implications for class.

Here’s the quick and dirty “Anita Parker” statement on class and weather.

1. If OSU is closed, there is no class (I hate to state the obvious)

2. If weather is preventing me from safely getting to campus and I cancel class? there is no class, but you get attendance points. OSU hates to close, seriously, so there have been some times when I’ve made the executive decision to cancel my class. If that happens, I will post to Carmen, tweet it, and send the message to your email (attached to Carmen).

3. If weather prevents you from safely getting to campus but class is still in session? That’s a choice you make and I respect that. Do some extra credit and let it go. I never expect you to take risks with your safety in order to secure a seat in my class, but I have no way of policing all of the streets to know if your fear is legitimate. So, do extra credit.

4. IF YOU LIVE IN A COUNTY often plagued by issues with hazardous road conditions, familiarize yourself with the official OSU policy on level three snow emergencies. You can find it in the weather closing policy here. You should be prepared to provide proof per University Policy.

Let’s all be safe.

Anita

Goddessy is a passionate visual, spoken word and performance artist~whether whispering into your ear or screaming across the stage, she delights in awakening the sacred sexuality deep inside each of us.

Speaker: Arinda StormWeaver, Sensualist and Fetish Model (October 10, 2012 @ 2:45 pm)

Ms. Arinda Storm Weaver (2012)

Arinda StormWeaver will be visiting my HDFS 5440 classroom on The Ohio State University Main Campus (Orton Hall, Room 0110) on October 10, 2012, from 2:45-4:00 pm.

This is an extra credit opportunity for students enrolled in my other classes this semester who are not also enrolled in 5440 this semester. If you are not currently enrolled in my HDFS 5440 class and you’d like to attend, be prepared to sit on the floor, the windowsill, or to stand!

Arinda had been a lifestyle Mistress for about ten years when she found that she had breast cancer. At 45, after both breasts were removed, she  started taking pics of her hands and fingernails. A very simple question changed her life.
Did you know there is a fetish for long fingernails? Arinda StormWeaver maintains a no-nudity policy on her part and she discovered that the nail fetish community made it very easy to become known without taking her clothes off.
Arinda’s work involves several fetish arenas, including long fingernails, long toenails, long hair, smoking and foot fetishism to name a few. Her work as a sensualist has taken her overseas and she was featured in the art book Claws for Alarm by Tolu Solanke.
The following links are provided to give interested individuals access to Arinda’s work. Inclusion of them here is not an endorsement by the instructor or the university the instructor works for.
