Music

Not necessarily “safe” to play at Work AND Possible Trigger Warning

  • This page includes links to videos with adult lyric and visuals. Several embedded videos are included while other videos are available via links.
  • Some videos contain images of real or imagined violence and kink/fetish material
  • Some videos may also contain strobe effects (use caution if you have a seizure disorder)

Music integration is just one of the ways in which the outside world is brought into my classroom. Some of these songs speak (in lyric or visual) to many topics but as they are added here, an attempt is being made to situate them within the classroom topic that applies to my courses.  As most of these videos reside on youtube, you may be subject to commercials before or after the video.

Note to Students: Yes, these are all great options for your music integration writings but you are NOT limited to these songs.

Human Frailty / The Human Condition

A good friend once told me, “Fear is not very useful here…” and it is a message worth remembering. Fear is a warning. It tells us that possible danger is near. Sometimes the danger is only in our perception of reality, sometimes the danger is very real. Regardless, face the fear, feel the fear, but do not LIVE in it.
